What does SUCCESS mean to you?

Many people view success in terms of power, wealth, or fame. This is not the true success that a lot of us strive for and accomplish every day. Many of the most enduring and satisfying forms of success have nothing do with acquiring power, wealth, or fame. Success is what you make it. For some people it is just keeping busy, having fun and enjoying life as never before.
Lots of people have a goal of wanting to make heaps of money so they can do nothing. The people who have this desire most often hate their jobs. They have given up trying and can't believe they will ever achieve their financial goals through their career. It's easy to fall into this trap.
When you're spending your days working your butt off - full time loafing sounds like an attractive proposition. Actually it becomes quite boring after a while.
The solution is really easy. Stop working and start enjoying how you make your money. No matter what job you do, it is vitally important that you find something you love doing... something you are passionate about.
However, if you end up working for yourself, or working from your residence - there will be no bosses to prod you along. You need be able to jump out of bed in the morning filled with the enthusiasm to get going.
As a matter of fact, I haven't worked for years. It's not that I've retired, it's just that I love what I'm doing. My definition of work - anything I'm doing when I'd rather be doing something else.
When you think about it, anyone can stop working. There are two ways to achieve this, but they are both big steps to take.
The first; is to change your attitude to work.
The second; is to guide your work efforts into activities you love doing. The best way to be employed is to achieve the things you enjoy achieving. That way it's not work.

Success is what dreams are made of.

Success is what dreams are made of. Success is about making it in life. Fast cars, expensive penthouses, designer labels—in other words, high material viability is the new success mantra. Yet we see large hordes of people demanding to do more than that by trying to find a common denominator for success. No longer weighed in terms of tidy bank balances, success is now regarded as all-inclusive quotient of material, emotional and spiritual gratification. Belying Alvin Toffler's apocalyptic cry against capitalism and urbanization, success does not remain merely a socially abrasive economic phenomenon in a highly competitive world. Today success represents a holistic and positive attitude to life. Attitude is everything. If you think you can, you most certainly can. Success is not closeted within some kind of brick and mortar premises. It assumes the individuality of a complete act executed with perfection. Material achievements do not define life. We do not remember the sports stars for the products they endorse but the spirit of achievement they represent. In the abundance of positive attitude underlies the grandeur of a truly rewarding and rich life.

Few Rules

As with any process of success, there are a few rules:
1. Write down your goals.
Write down your primary goals, focus them on specific areas of your life, and break them into doable segments. Write them down. Formulate a plan on paper and put it where you can review it frequently to make sure you’re keeping up to date with your plan of action.
2. Prioritize your life.
Since you have your goals in front of you, written down, it’s fairly simple to look at the goals and see if the activities coming up are working toward your goals or not. Determine the energy and value you are willing to put into an activity based on its value within your goal plan.
3. Maintain strong personal boundaries.
Your ultimate goal requires you to maintain personal boundaries. This doesn’t mean that a crisis has to be ignored, but it does mean you need to consider the value of the crisis. For instance: your grandmother is very ill and your parents want you to come home for the weekend, by all means GO, visit grandma, support your family, and build those important relationships. OR your buddy got drunk and is calling you at 3AM to rescue him from the county hoochie, but you have an exam in the morning. Let him sit it out, sober up and pick him up after you pass your exam. He needs to realize his emergency is due to his own bad behavior and not your problem. (In fact, if stone sober, he doesn’t immediately apologize for waking you up at 3 AM, leave him in there for another month.)

THE THREE Es

To Succeed one need to combine what he calls the three Es: Expertise, Enterprise and Experience.
Expertise includes scholastics or subject knowledge, job knowledge, company knowledge and market or industry knowledge. When these are combined with enterprise, which is innate and cannot be taught, success will come about. But to deliver quality year after, one needs 'Experience'.

Success

Success is a matter of talent and opportunity but, much more, of concentration and perseverance.
When you have set the real goal before you next step is to make adequate preparation for it's achievement. Until and unless you acquire the necessary education, training or experience to give you the know-how you cannot achieve your goal.
Since most of us go through life without a goal, without any purpose, without having any specific objective, we do not care to acquire specialized education. The result is what we live, a purposeless and aimless life.
Now you can very well realize that those who succeeded not only had their cherished goal before them but they also developed the necessary qualifications for it's achievement. Every person who aspire to be successful first educates himself to be able to pursue his specific goal.
However education does not mean simply book learning but also the development of personality, leadership, sociability and a sensitivity to discriminate between the true and false values of life and the ability to imbibe those which lead to harmony and happiness.
You may have chosen your goal. you may have even planned out and prepared yourself with a view to achieving the goal. You may have good health to a still you may not make any progress toward your goal because you may not enough drive to work for your goal. Actually, success is accomplishing something. It is activity in the right direction...... .
